Karkhana team share their inspiring story at ‘Uniglobe Alumni Storytellers’

‘The untold stories of aspiring people’

Kathmandu, August 6, 2017: A team of Karkhana on Saturday shared their motivational stories in the Season 2 of ‘Uniglobe Alumni Storytellers’ held at the auditorium of Global College of Management. Uniglobe Alumni Storytellers is a platform for those aspiring Nepali entrepreneurs, academicians, professors, and mentors to put across their personal stories.

In the program, Mr. Sachet Manandhar-Chief Operation Officer, Miss Eva Gyawali- Tinkering Studio Karkhana, Miss Aakriti Thapa-Bee Creative Karkhana and Mr. Amrit Puri-Bee Creative shared their journey to Karkhana, and promoting hands on learning and 21st-century skills in children.

“KARKHANA is working to catalyze an ecosystem that permits the kids they teach to do the things they were unable to do – create innovative solutions to local problems, and make a living while doing it,” shared the Karkhana team. The founding team realized upon and reflecting these challenges stemmed from the current education system that only emphasized memorizing and ignored doing, making, thinking and failing.

“Uniglobe Alumni Association, a union of former students of Uniglobe College has been conducting various events targeting students of Uniglobe and youth inside and outside the college,” informed Sagun Prajapati, Vice-President of the association.
