Kathmandu, December 1, 2017: Kathmandu Kings XI, a professional cricket franchise, concluded the second round of talent hunt prior to the second season of Everest Premier League (EPL). 26 young and talented players were called for the second round of selection on 29th December 2017 in Mulpani Cricket Ground.

Speaking about the players’ performance during the talent hunt, Manoj Katuwal, coach of Kathmandu Kings XI, said, “We had an amazing pool of over 150 cricket players out of which 26 players were selected for the talent hunt. We are having very tough time to make a final selection as all the players have shown outstanding performances in the match. However, we do have an eye on few talented ones for the team.”

The players competed in a match where they demonstrated their talents to impress the selection team. The selectors examined the aptitude and sports performance factors (physical, technical, tactical and psychological) under the real match scenario.

Naresh Budhayer, an international cricketer, was impressed with the performance of the players in the talent hunt. “I am amazed by the passion these youths have for cricket. These young players are amazingly talented. They make us optimistic about the bright future of Nepali cricket”, said Budhayer.
