Beni (Myagdi),9 Nov 2014: A destitute kidney patient, who is currently undergoing treatment at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, in the capital city has been provided with financial aid from the Nepalis living in the UK.
Nearly Rs 3 million has been provided to Lal Bahadur Budhathoki of Patlekhet-9, Myagdi, who was taken ill after both of his kidney failed.
The local youth clubs launched a campaign “Save Lal Badharu’ to raise fund for his treatment whose economic condition is bleak.
The co-coordinator of the campaign, Amar Roka, expressing his happiness over the help offered by the local people in Myagdi and Nepalis in the UK said, “Myagdi’s people actively contributing to such humanitarian aid has certainly glorified the district’s reputation.”
Budhathoki, prior to receiving the aid, was already provided with some Rs 2 million by a Nepali woman residing in the UK.
