Inaruwa, August 6, 2015: For three months, the Koshitappu Wildlife Reserve has imposed a ban on fishing in Saptakoshi River and watershed region. Until mid-September, the decision would continue.
The decision is taken as the rainy season is the breeding period of fish, Assistant Conservation Officer of the Koshitappu Wildlife Reserve Jholai Chaudhary said, adding Aquatic Animal Protection Act, 2017 BS and its first amendment has also imposed a ban on fishing in some parts of the Saptakoshi River.
