Jajarkot, Aug. 17: The people, who were injured in landslides occurred on Wednesday night due to incessant rainfall in Jajarkot district, have been rescued only after three days.
Although the Ministry of Home Affairs had taken initiative to rescue the injured immediately, it was not possible as it failed to bring helicopter due to the continuous downpour, according to the District Administration Office, Jajarkot.
The Office said that the injured were rescued only on Saturday.
The injured–Karne Nepali, 26, Sudha Nepali, 30, Lale Nepali, 12, Laxman BK, Seema BK, Dil Bahadur Kami and Sharada Nepali of Dhaulakot, Ramidanda-9 and Jaylal Bohara, his daughters 13-year-old Arati Bohara and Kamala Bohara, 10, of Bandala, Sakla-3 and Sandesh Basnet, 14, of Sakla-5– were rescued.
The injured have been taken to Regional Hospital, Surkhet, for treatment, it is learnt.
Chief District Officer, Hiralal Chaudhary, said that the injured would be taken to Kathmandu for further treatment if it was not possible here.
