Kathmandu, 11 January, 2015 : Political bigwigs have asserted that the efforts for consensus would last till the final moment.
Speaking at the Reporters Club here today, CPN (UML) Secretary Pradeep Gyawali accused the parties of trying to make the Constituent Assembly a failure under various pretexts despite committing for a new constitution within a year’s time in their respective declaration papers.

Nepali Congress leader Sujata Koirala urged the opposition parties to shun their vested interest citing the constitution was being drafted for the country’s sake.
On the occasion, Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (Democratic) leader Ramjanam Chaudhary said the opposition would not accept the incorporation of Kailali and Kanchanpur in an integrated Far Western provincial state.
Likewise, Federal Sadbhawana Party Chairman Anil Kumar Jha called for a consensual constitution as the country had a record of six constitutions that came and went.
