Lenovo coming up with Yoga Book 2-in-1 Hybrid with Chrome OS

December 20, 2016: Lenovo is panning to launch a brand new Yoga Book version starting early 2017.

While the current Lenovo Yoga Book available for purchase in the market runs on Microsoft’s Windows 10 operating system, the upcoming Lenovo Yoga Book will come with Google’s Chrome OS, mainly found in thin and light laptops, known as Chromebooks.

Lenovo currently sells the Yoga Book in two options, Windows 10 and Android. Now, a third Lenovo Yoga Book running on Chrome OS will be made available since the coming year.

Lenovo’s decision to launch the Chrome OS Yoga Book is because of increasing interest Chrome OS, both from consumers and developers, and aims to target the new machine especially to students and customers in the education business.

The Lenovo Yoga Book 2-in-1 hybrid laptop claims to be the world’s thinnest 2-in-1 hybrid notebook of its kind, sporting an innovative Halo keyboard and Real Pen for input. It will feature a 10.1-inch full-HD IPS display, 4GB of LPDDR3 RAM, and powered by a 2.4GHz quad-core Intel Atom x5-Z8550 processor. The Lenovo Yoga Book 2-in-1 hybrid comes with 64GB of base internal storage which is expandable via microSD card to up to 128GB.
