License Of 71 Higher Secondary Schools Is To Be Scrapped

Kathmandu, June 22: The license of 71 higher secondary schools across the nation is to be scrapped by the Higher Secondary Education Board (HSEB) and the decision regarding affiliation cancellation would be implemented from coming July 17, Under-Secretary at the HSEB, Subas Pant, said.

The HSEB is going to scrap license of License of 17 higher secondary schools in Kathmandu alone, which is the highest number.Similarly, license of 10 higher secondary schools in Lalitpur, six in Morang, three in Jhapa, four each in Makawanpur and Chitwan, two each in Dhanusha, Bhaktapur, Nawalparasi and Tanahun is to be scrapped. Likewise, it has also asked the concerned higher secondary schools not to admit students at grade 11.

The license of the higher secondary schools would be scrapped automatically if they failed to submit the proof within 15 days, Pant further said. Similarly, it has sought written clarification along with proof from the higher secondary schools within 15 days if was any reason behind not to go ahead with the cancellation.
