Kathmandu, Jan 19: A meeting of three major parties and the Madhesi alliance is now going on at Constituent Assembly (CA) building.
The parties are continuously holding discussions to narrow down the disputed issues of a new constitution.
Though the leaders are reiterating that they were close to an agreement in the contentious issues of the new constitution, it is yet to be materialized in result.
Finance Minister Dr Ram Sharan Mahat, who is present in the meeting, said that they were holding discussions aimed at identifying the common ground to narrow down the controversial issues before today’s CA meeting.
Now, Nepali Congress and CPN (UML) are separately holding discussion whereas UCPN (Maoist) and the Madhesi alliance are also separately holding discussions to present their common understanding on the issues.
Also present in the meeting are Prime Minister Sushil Koirala, CA chair Subas Nembang and senior leaders of major parties.
