Golbazaar (Siraha), Oct 21,2014: A man here has been arrested by the police for killing his second wife. He is Raj Kumar Sharma, of east Kushaha-9 of Sunsari district.
Police also arrested his first wife Reena for her alleged involvement in the murder. They were made public today.
They were charged with murdering Nitu Purbe (Raj Kumar’s second wife) on October 10 at Padariya-9 in Siraha.
After the murder, the couple threw the dead body of Nitu under a culvert near Salahesh, the famous religious site in the district. Locals found a stinking body and informed the police.
Acting on a special tip-off, the Area Police Office nabbed the two from Biratnagar, Morang, Office Police Inspector Santosh Niraula said.
Police investigations into the case revealed the involvement of others in the killing and police have launched a manhunt for them.
During the primary investigation, police reached to a conclusion that Nitu was murdered, following family disputes. Further investigation into the case is underway.
