Kathmandu,22 Feb 2015: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) arrested Mitharam Bhattarai, an informant of the National Investigation Department working at the District Office, Makawanpur, red-handed with the bribe money on Sunday.
Bhattarai is charged of accepting the bribe amount by promising a job to a person as an assistant of the National Investigation Department.
According to a press statement by the CIAA, Bhattarai took Rs 100,000 from a person of Makawanpur district.
Likewise, the CIAA has filed a case at the Special Court against Headmaster and Chairman of Rastriya Primary School Management Committee of Chakrar VDC-1 in Dhanusha district for misusing the government budget allocated for infrastructural development and so on by providing fake bills, thereby adversely affecting and damaging the public school for personal interest.
The CIAA has claimed â€Žaction against Chairperson of the School Management Committee Ramchandra Mandal and â€ªâ€ŽPrincipal Anita Kumari Mandal as per Section 17 of Prevention of Corruption Act 2002, and a total of Rs 1.5 million along with maximum punishment as per Sec 3(1) of the same Act.
