12 August 2015: Yaya Toure inspires Manchester city to began their bid to regain the Barclays premier league title with a 3-0 win against West Brom at the Hawthorn. This  Ivorian professional midfielder committed himself to City over the summer after a 2014-15 season that saw many question whether he was still the force of old. He looked like a newly-committed player, too, the old powerful doubled the score in early 24 minutes.
Manchester City captain Vicent Kompanys’ heading in the third after Yaya Toures’ first half double lead the city in clear win with first standing in the table. Toures’Â midfield partner, Fernandinho, said this week that Toure was fired up for the new campaign, and he certainly looked like it on Monday. If that is indeed the case, then City can look forward to a much more satisfying season ahead.
After the win Manchester City captain said,We have something to prove. Last season was below what we’re used to doing. It was a good way to start the first game we came out knowing we had a point to prove. If you’d seen the faces in training last week, I knew the team was going to be ready for this game.”
Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini highlighted  that It’s important to start with a win. In the Premier League normally you are going to win or lose the league by one point, so it’s important to start strongly.” City will face defending champion Chelsea on Sunday.
