Mathematics Now Optional Subject for Grade XI and XII students

Kathmandu, October 4, 2018: Mathematics is now an optional subject of Plus 2 students after the revised curriculum by Curriculum Development Centre (CDC). National Curriculum Framework was revised by the CDC where students can take math as optional subject who have major subject of biology, chemistry or physics.

The council meeting held on November 2, 2018 chaired by Minister of Education, Science and Technology Giriraj Mani Pokhrel decided to revise the curriculum.

The government made single track curriculum of Grade XI and XII as 8th amendment to the Education Act in June, 2006.

50,000 students among expected 3,00,000 students who will pass Grade XI and XII will choose science as per the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology.
