Bhadrapur, 28 Oct 2014: An interaction programme on ‘Role of media for agro development’ was organized here on Monday under the joint aegis of Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) Jhapa Chapter and District Agriculture Development Office Jhapa.
At the one-day programme, acting chief of the Agriculture Development Office Rajendra Kharel presented a working paper on ‘Chemical pesticide, current situation and government efforts’. Likewise, Technical Assistant of the Agriculture Development Office Shalikram Bhattarai delivered his presentation titled ‘Status of Agriculture in Jhapa’ and FNJ Jhapa Chapter Vice Chairperson Taramani Sapkota presented a working paper on ‘The role of media for agriculture development’.
On the occasion, Constituent Assembly (CA) member Prem Giri said the country could not augur well without proper development of the agriculture.
As many as 45 journalists took part in the papers presentations and discussion at the programme presided over by FNJ Jhapa Chairperson Bhim Nembang.
