Kathmandu, August 21, 2018: CareerPrep Fellowship organized its first mentor-mentee meetup event for on August 17, 2018. The purpose of the meetup was to primarily allow the mentees of CareerPrep to connect with their mentors and for the mentors to interact and inspire their mentees. The event was a shared platform for the CareerPrep family to connect with each other, and took place at Ageno: The Hestia from 3.30 to 5.30 pm.
With all 26 new CareerPrep Cohort 2 Fellows present to connect with industry and organizational leaders as well as their future mentors, the event was a great success! We had a total of 20 partners and mentors attend the program to meet their future mentees, and connect with the CareerPrep Cohort 2 Fellows. This year, we are also on boarding CareerPrep Fellowship peer mentors who were CareerPrep Cohort 1 Fellows that performed exceptionally well, putting in tremendous effort in learning and developing themselves during the fellowship program. The peer mentors were an incredible addition to the program. Additionally, Mr. Prasanna Pokhrel and Ms. Chadani Pandey, board members at Women Development Advocacy Center, were also a part of the program, sharing wonderful insights and learnings to Cohort 2 Fellows.
All in all, the program turned out as an incredible platform for creating connections between and among our mentors, partners, peer mentors and Cohort 2 Fellows. We, the CPF team, are exceptionally grateful to have such an incredible turnout in the event and the CareerPrep Family continuously supporting us in our endeavours to connect young women with the professional ecosystem in Nepal.
