Trishuli (Nuwakot), 2 Jan 2014: Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mahendra Bahadur Pandey, has said the country should be restructured by combining mountain, hills and southern plains in the province.
The natural and geographical specificities of mountain, hills and southern plains of the country carry tremendous meaning with intimate relations to the human life, so it was illogical to separate hills from plains and mountains while restructuring the country, Minister Pandey stressed while addressing a two-day orientation to the cadres of the CPN-UML.
Also the politburo member of the CPN-UML, Minister Pandey said only physical, cultural, historical and ethnic harmony would help institutionalize change and consolidate federalism.
On a different note, he said, China has wanted to expand railway from Shigatse to Kathmandu, and the necessary study was on regarding the same on behalf of the Nepal government.
Another politburo member of the party, Pashupati Chaulagain said the constitution could be brought on time even by keeping aside the disputed issues.
