Furfection wins the National Level Business Plan Competition 2018

Kathmandu, 14 January, 2018: Out of 27 different teams from 10 different colleges, team Furfection of SOMTU has bagged the title of winner in the first edition of ‘National Level Business Plan Competition- Uniglobe Idea 2018’. Organized by Uniglobe Center for Entrepreneurship, this competition is an initiation to promote Nepalese entrepreneurship in various business schools in Nepal.

Furfection has been presented with NRs. 50,000 while the first and second runner ups team Happiness Box of Kist College and team Saathi Pvt. Ltd. have been bestowed upon with cash prizes of NRs. 30,000 and 20,000 respectively.

Winning business plan of Furfection is to establish a standard dog grooming company in Sankhamul, Kathmandu. This organization wills to carry out grooming and training services for dogs. Similarly, the business plan of Happiness Box is a startup period pampering subscription box. This subscription box expects to catch up the interest of working women and students as this box intends to meet their needs during periods. The business plan of Saathi Pvt. Ltd is focused on complete household service for solving household chores.

Dr. Pukar Malla, Executive Director of Daayitwa and chief guest of the closing ceremony congratulated all the winners as well as participants and underscored the need of entrepreneurship as well as collaboration of urban youth to rural enterprises.

Sohan Babu Khatri, the Founder/CEO of Three H Management indicated, “Entrepreneurs are the one who take risk with innovative ways and competitions like National Level Business Plan will help flourish them.”

Dr. Nar Bhadur Bista congratulated the team of Uniglobe Center for Entrepreneurship for successfully organizing the event that is marking in the entrepreneurship growth in the country.

The business plans, ideas and presentations had been judged by the resource persons Prajwal Gadtaula, Founder of Business Brianz; Mr. Nanda Kishor Mandal, Head of Yunus Center at Kings College; Mr. Roshan Wagle of RM – Micro Finance; Sanima Bank and Mr. Deepak Thapa, Co-founder – Chief of Operation, Media Arch Inc.
