Kathmandu, March 21, 2017: The 22nd edition of The Hidden Treasure Miss Nepal–2017, was announced on Monday at an event held in the Capital. The premier beauty paegent that selects Nepali entrants to coveted international pagents like Miss World and Miss Earth will now be taking in applications until April 13.
The auditions to find the contest’s 20 finalists that will partake in the Gala event to be held in the Capital will travel to seven major cities: Kathmandu, Biratnagar, Chitwan, Butwal, Pokhara, Dharan and Dhangadi, this year.
Speaking at the event, Gopal Kakshapati, the chairman of The Hidden Treasure, announced that the sub-titles of this year’s pageant would include The Kathmandu Post Miss Intellect, Hyundai Miss Friendship, and Berger Miss Talent, among others.
“Miss Nepal is a national event with an international tag. The Hidden Treasure has been pushing its boundaries further every year and bringing something new for the audiences. This year we are planning to hold a 2 to 3 days closed camp for the contestents along with a six-week training,” said Kakshapati.
The reigning Miss Nepal winners, including Miss Nepal 2016 Asmi Shrestha, also thanked their supporters and the organisers at the event, remarking on how the entire process and not just the gala televised event help shape their personalities and prepare them for the international stage.
This year’s theme for the paegent will be: Believe and You Can Achieve.
