Kathmandu, August 7, 2018: Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) offers an opportunity to 3 out of 9 start-up ideas to participate in Micro Master Course (MMC).
MMC is an online course offered by MIT. MIT Global Start-up Labs and Kathmandu University organized a program on Thursday along with Ncell. Sajilo Marmat Sewa, Kinder and Opus were the three start-ups who also received a seed fund of Rs. 500,000, Rs. 300,000 and Rs. 200,000 respectively. Kathmandu University also awarded them with space and mentorship facilities at Kathmandu University School of Management (KUSOM) Incubation Center. MIT will provide a certificate course through EdX which is an online teaching platform.
In the seven days of boot camp, Kathmandu, the Nepali students from nine start-up teams pitched their ideas and business plans demonstrating their innovations and public speaking skills to the panel of judges. 150 students participated in MIT Global Start-up Labs Nepal 2018 that aims to develop collaboration for best practices in entrepreneurship and technology in Nepal
