Kathmandu, March 3, 2018: A solo-exhibition of Mithila paintings by Academy Assembly member of Nepal Academy of Fine Arts, Mithiladevi Yadav, has begun at Mithilain Art Gallery, Chhetrapati. Mithiladevi Yadav is a veteran artist who has been involved in Mithila paintings since 2045 B.S.
A total of 20 paintings related to Mithila culture has been put on display in the eight-day expo that is slated to end on March 7, 2018.
Inaugurating the expo, CPN-UML senior leader Jhalanath Khanal mentioned, “The expo would have important contribution to take the Mithila culture in the generation.” Similarly, Vice-Chancellor of the Academy, Sharada Chitrakar, said that such expo would help in the protection of Mithila culture.
