Mobile Industries Planning For 5G


    April 4, 2015: The Mobile World Congress, one of the biggest annual tech events was currently held in Barcelona which was organised to highlight some of the best telecom products for offering to the world. However, highlighting new hardware was not the only thing on the conference.

    There was  also the announcement of introducing 5G technology to the world as soon as possible. The announcement was called by Nokia Networks and Ericsson, two well known network equipment makers. The executives from both companies also praised all the advantages of 5G technology during the event.

    One of the  members of the European Commission said that the 5G technology is going to become the nervous system of our society and will play an important role in the digital economy of many countries. Chang-Gyu Hwang, Korea Telecom CEO said, “Networks using 5G will be able to transfer huge amounts of data a lot faster than the current 4G networks. By the time 5G arrives, which could be within the next five years, users will see a major increase in download speeds along with instant app updates.”

    The leading network equipment makers like Nokia and Ericsson, are making a plan to proceed building advanced 5G networks and get a unified 5G network by the year 2020. As per the reports, the primitive trial versions of the 5G network should arrive by 2018, in time for the FIFA World Cup, which is going to be held in Russia.
