Kathmandu, Sept 9: The Eighteenth National Council Meeting of the central committee of the Nepal National Teachers’ Association has begun from Tuesday.
Inaugurating the meeting, CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli, said the teachers’ role was significant in making the various political movements successful.Â And thereby the UML has recognized the teachers’ contribution and appointed eight lawmakers from the teaching background. Chairman Oli said, “The teachers should introduce new education and technology developed around the world being responsible towards the new generation.”
Â Leader Oli urged the participants of the programme not to have any doubts whether the constitution will be promulgated in the slated time while saying his party was committed to promulgate the constitution forging consensus among the political parties. “If the efforts for a consensus fail the new constitution will be promulgated through CA procedures as per the commitment made with the country and its people”, he said. Similarly, speaking at the programme, Education Secretary Bishwa Prakash Pandit stressed on the need of teaching the skills and quality education as per the need of time.
