Kathmandu, 17 June, 2015 : The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has disproved a media report that the Ministry was in a tussle with the Finance Ministry in view of making preparations for the Donors’ Conference. To garner external funds needed for the reconstruction efforts in the aftermath of the major earthquake that hit the country in April, the conference is being conducted on June 25.
The MoFA, through a press statement Wednesday, rebutted the news related to the Conference preparations carried by the capital-based English daily on Wednesday. “The news is completely baseless and is intended to expose a false ‘rift’ between two Ministries,” the statement said, adding that both ministries were in a close coordination to make the Conference successful.
