27 July, 2015: Due to heavy rain Chittagong city drown under the water now. Most of people became collapsed at home.
Frequenters mainly the office goers suffered a lot during the incessant downpour that also hampered business activities at wholesale markets and shopping malls ahead of Eid.
The rain that started on Monday intensified on Wednesday early hours and continued till night.
Met office in the city’s Patenga area recorded a total of 154.9mm rainfall in 24 hours ending at 6:00pm on Wednesday.
Houses and shops of some of the areas were also submerged by the water causing shopkeepers and dwellers to suffer much. Its disrupt people’s normal life.
