Kathmandu, Sept. 18: The Nepal Student’s Union (NSU) took out a motorcycle rally this morning in the capital city, welcoming the endorsement of the new constitution from the Constituent Assembly (CA).

Nepali Congress general secretary Prakashman Singh led the motorcycle rally. Inaugurating the rally, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Federal Affairs and Local Development Singh said that the new constitution was written from the sacrifices of a large number of students. “This achievement was obtained due to students’ struggle for democracy,” he said.

On the occasion, he hoped that country would make a stride in development after the promulgation of the new constitution.

Likewise, Chairman of NSU Ranjit Karna said that people’s dream of writing constitution from the CA has been fulfilled after 65 years.

The rally started from the Pradashani Marg converted into a corner assembly at Maitighar Mandala after passing through Kalikasthan, Kamalpokhari, Kamaladi, Bhadrakali, Tripureshwor and Thapathali.
