Kathmandu, August 30: Â Sainli Maya Tamang and Panchabir Lama of Belkot, Nuwakot district have appealed for justice of their daughter’s mysterious death. The parents have been on a hunger strike for the past two and half months.
Their daughter Sushila who was a domestic help at the house of Bijay Shrestha of Koteshwor had been found hanging in her room on 8th February , 2013. The pair has accused the house owner of murder of their daughter. She had not committed suicide rather she was poisoned and hanged , they said.
The couple has been staging the fast-into-death near the local Bhadrakali Temple in the capital. According to the post-mortom report as stated her mother, Sushila had a fetus of two and half months in her womb when she was murdered. The police also declined to their request to file a FIR against Shrestha and no other authorities concerned seemed ready to ensure them justice.
The couple had demanded a fair investigation into the case and guarantee justice to their killed daughter. Sushila had served Shrestha four year before her death. her parents have condemned Shrestha of sexually harassing her daughter for four consecutive years.
Indigenous Nationalities Women Federation Chairperson, Shanti Jirel has complained that the police administration turned a deaf ear towards their calls to arrest the accused and carry out a fair investigation into the case.
