The word Quarantine was a new word for me. After the outbreak of Covid-19 (Corona Virus), this term is being used much frequently. Quarantine is a restriction on the movement of people and goods which is intended to prevent the spread of disease or pests. It is often used in connection to disease and illness, preventing the movement of those who may have been exposed to a communicable disease, but do not have a confirmed medical diagnosis. It is a way of safety measures to prevent the viral infection to spread all around. As we all know, the outbreak of Corona Virus, declared a pandemic by WHO is a bigger tragedy throughout the world and Nepal is also not an exception.

To prevent the spread of this virus, the Government of Nepal has declared lockdown as a precautionary measure. I believe this is a very wise decision by the government and we all need to support the government for this. Well! let me tell you, I have been utilizing my vacations pretty well these days. Before I had to go to my university, then go to my office to work and then return home late. But these days, all colleges and offices are closed due to lockdown. I have been spending days with my family and also conducting my official works from home. I must say this has been a very interesting experience.

These days I get much sleep because I don’t need to attend my morning classes. I wake up at 7 and finish my regular works as per my morning routine. I then give some time to look over the topics of my university studies. After that, I have my breakfast and then I stay in front of my laptop to get engaged in a regular video conversation with my office team members regarding works. After completing my works of office as per the target, I help my mother in the kitchen for preparing Lunch and we all family sit together to enjoy. I also like recording songs in my spare time and spend time in making some tik-tok videos. I have also been engaged in writing reports and articles on different topics. Besides that, I am also helping my brother learn art at home. He loves drawing and I am giving him some tips every day. In addition to this, besides my regular works, I have set a target to learn different chords on my Ukulele and record songs someday. I am really fond of music. I also watch movies with my family. Having so much of free time makes my mind fresh and I am living a healthy and happy days on my Quarantine days.

Self-isolation actually became a reason that brought the family together spending days. It is related to health aspects, but on the other hand, it strengthens bonding between the family members. I am spending my Self-isolation days doing creative works and staying healthy.
