Kathmandu, Oct 8: The Nepal Academy of Science and Technology (NAST) has made arrangements for viewing the lunar eclipse by the members of the general public with the help of telescope from its premises this evening.
The Academy, which had been providing this facility in the past also, has made arrangements for observing the lunar eclipse today, NAST Promotion and Publicity Division Chief, Narendra Kumar Singh, said.
One can view the eclipse from the NAST premises with the help of telescope at 5.30 pm, he said.
Although the eclipse will take place at 2.59 pm it can be viewed from Nepal at 5.51 pm after moonrise. The eclipse will end at 6.19 pm, according to Prof Dr Ram Chandra Gautam, President of the Calendar Determination Committee.
