Kathmandu, November 25, 2016:Â State-Minister for Agriculture Radhika Tamang has clarified that it was not possible to set up separate Ministry for Fishery as proposed by the fish traders.
Inaugurating the 3rd national fish festival at Bhrikutimandap organized by the Nepal Fish Traders’ Association in the Capital on Thursday, State-Minister Tamang said so although fish farming is gaining popularity in the country lately.
On the occasion, State-Minister Tamang launched three memoirs on fish farming.
The five-day fair, organized to promote consumption of fish produced in Nepal, has a total of 40 stalls showcasing equipments for fish farming, medicines and varieties of fishes.
The stalls will also showcase and serve several fish delicacies, according to the organizers.
