Kathmandu,2 Feb 2015: Armed Police Force (APF) on Monday gave a drubbing to Morang Football Club in the ongoing National Football League underway in the capital city.

APF won against Morang 4-1 in the match played at Dasharath Stadium.

Morang took the initial lead after Raj Poudel converted a pass from Nishan Limbu’s corner in the 36th minute, but APF fought hard for an equalizer which materialized after its player Anjan Bista scored in the 41st minute. A minute later APF’s Ranjan Bista scored making the half-time scoreline 2-1 for the incredulous Morang fans.

The APF scored its third in the 59th minute with a solo goal from Ranjan Bista – his second for the game. The fourth and the decisive goal came in the 71st minute into the second half when APF’s captain Nabin Lama netted the ball. APF, which has played two matches, has added four points to its tally while Morang with similar number of games under its belt is scoreless.

APF Coach Krishna Thapa said the team had performed better in the second half while Morang’s Coach Paras Chaudhary expressed belief his team would make it into the top three after making up for the bad performance in the previous games.
