Pokhara, 11 January,2018: Nepal Weightlifting Association and District Weightlifting Association have organized ‘8th Women’s and 23rd Men’s National Weightlifting Competition’, under National Sports Council Championship.
This three-day championship starting from January 10 has been inaugurated at a hall of Pokhara Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
A total of 182 male and female players from Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and Nepali Army from 28 districts are participating in the competition. Altogether nine weight groups have been divided each for male and female players.
Umesh CK, the Vice-Chairperson of the District Weightlifting Association, shared that the best players selected from this competition will be participating in the South Asian Games that is scheduled to be held in 2019 in Nepal.
