Bhimduttanagar,9 Nov 2014: Property worth over Rs 50 million was destroyed in agriculture and livestock sectors due to natural disaster in Darchula district this year.
According to the District Livestock Service Office, Darchula, mostly the natural disaster including floods, landslides and lightning destroyed the properties.
As per the data collected by the Office, property worth Rs 52 million was destroyed towards livestock sector.
Similarly, the natural disaster destroyed property worth over Rs 1.2 million towards agriculture sector, according to the Office.
Flood and landslide that occurred this year damaged 129 ropani land of 29 families, it is learnt.
Chief at the Office, Basanta Bahadur Singh, said the natural disaster wrecked havoc in agro and livestock sectors.
Meanwhile, a meeting of the District Natural Disaster Relief Committee decided to recommend required budget to provide compensation to the victims.
