Nawayug Shrestha scored hat trick and Bishal rai scored a goal as Nepal thrashed Maldives 4-1 in the semi final match of Bangabandhu Gold Cup. Both of the scorer got their debut goal for their National side.
Similarly, this is the first time in 17 years that Nepali football team has reached final of any official tournament after they did it in South Asian Games 17 years ago.Nepal dominated major part of the game and the domination result in the goal in the 19th minute when Nawayug scored his first ever goal for national Team. Similarly, Bishal Rai doubled the lead and Nawayug completed his hat trick in the second half. This means, Nawayug Shrestha has become the fifth Nepalese player to score hat trick in international football.
Nepal now will meet Baharain U23 for the title.
