Kathmandu, 2 Jannuay, 2015 :Â Â Deputy Prime Minister and Nepali Congress General Secretary Prakashman Singh has said that Nepali Congress (NC) is all prepared to issue a democratic constitution through voting process if consensus was not forged in the disputed issues.
At a programme organized by the NC’s Dalit wing at the party central office on Tuesday, Deputy Prime Minister Singh said that the NC has
decided to go ahead as per the Constituent Assembly (CA) Regulations to promulgate the constitution on time if the contentious issues were not resolved.
On the occasion, Singh said that the NC was always in favour of Dalits and oppressed communities and has ensured Dalit participation up to the party’s top level.
Likewise, NC spokesperson Dilendra Prasad Badu said that unity in diversity was the necessity of the hour to strengthen our nationality.
Also speaking at the programme, NC leaders Ananda Prasad Dhungana, Dil Bahadur Gharti, Badri Pandey, Dhanraj Gurung, Jiban Pariyar, Kabita Kumar Sardar, Khadga Basyal, Pratapram Lohar, Padamsingh Bishwakarma and Bijul Bishwakarma, among others spoke on Dalit community’s promotion and development.
