Kathmandu, August 30, 2016: An inter-college debate championship has recently been concluded in the town awarding the winners.
Organized by Asian Institute of Technology and Management (AITM) in collaboration with Pariwartanka Aasha, the competition started with orienting the participants about the World Schools Debating Championships (WSDC) format on 23rd of August. The championship concluded with the award distribution ceremony on 26th of August.
Students from various colleges in town affiliated to NEF-CCN, including AITM, Little Angeles (LA) College, Xavier Academy, Institute of Management Studies, Bhanubhakta Memorial College and Laboratory Higher Secondary College had participated in the championship.
AITM bagged the award as the category winner for English while the Ideal Model School secured the 1st runner up position. Similarly, LA College was announced as the Nepali category winner, whereas Xavier Academy managed to hold the 1st runner up position.
In the championship, Mehek Lamsal from Xavier Academy and Pradeep Dahal from AITM were felicitated with the best speaker awards in English and Nepali category respectively. Meanwhile, Avash Byanjankar was honored withÂ the best Adjudicator Award.
All the awards and certificates of appreciation were distributed in the special presence of Executive Chairman of NEF-CCN, Prof. Dr. Siriram Bhagut Mathe; Vice-President of Pariwartanka Aasha, Mr. Abhibind Khaniya; Head of B. tech Biotechnology (AITM), HariKrishna Sainju and Head of +2 School (AITM) Krishna Khatiwada.
