30 October,2014:Â Neha Dhupia has parted ways with her Venezuelan boyfriend James Sylvester. The two were in a serious relationship since three years and James had virtually settled down in India. But a few months ago, he flew back to the US.
According to a friend of the couple, that’s when the downslide began. “Things ceased to be the same between Neha and James after he went from India. They tried to keep the long-distance relationship going, but things just didn’t work out,” says the friend.
When contacted, Neha said: “Yes, Jimmy (as she fondly calls him) has moved to Washington. Beyond this, I don’t wish to comment on my personal life.” The former Femina Miss India had earlier dated squash player Ritwik Bhattacharya. Their 10-year relationship ended in June 2010.
Last year, Ritwik married model Pia Trivedi. It was a white wedding in Coonoor. Neha’s romance with James first made headlines when they were spotted together at an after party of a fashion week in 2011. Soon, the two were painting the town red.
Adds the friend, “Jimmy was wooing Neha ardently. Everyday he had a surprise for her, they were madly in love. Their common friends still hope that they get back.”
