Nepal-Bangladesh football friendlies postponed

Kathmandu, July 10, 2016: Two football friendlies scheduled to be held on coming Friday and Sunday between Nepal and Bangladesh have been postponed.

“According to the letter received from Bangladesh Football Federation today, the Federation suggested that they were not able to host the game in give time and have proposed a friendly for late August instead,” the All Nepal Football Association said in a statement today.

Earlier, ANFA had said Nepal would play Bangladesh on July 15 and 17 in Dhaka. The 21-member Nepal squad was already announced for the matches.

According to ANFA, the friendlies are a part of the preparation for the upcoming AFC Solidarity Cup. The tournament is scheduled for November 2-11, 2016.
