Kathmandu, June 9, 2017: South Asia Partnership Nepal (SAP Nepal) in collaboration with Bangladesh Student and Youth For Tourism Development(BSYFTD) is all set to organize Nepal-Bangladesh Youth Conclave from June 10-11, 2017 in Kathmandu. The conclave is first of its kind in the history of Nepal and Bangladesh.

The event is a collaborative initiative of prominent personalities and institutions from Nepal and Bangladesh that aims to link the young leaders of two countries. The initiation will create a common forum to foster the regional cooperation for collaborative approaches to contemporary issues in the region.

Nepal and Bangladesh established diplomatic relations on April 8, 1972. In retrospect, the relationship between these two neighbors has been cordial. However, there are still a lot of arenas which can be harnessed to make the best use of this partnership. “The conclave aims to explore those arenas and support in promoting Nepal-Bangladesh bilateral connectivity and strengthen ties among the citizens of both the countries,” said the organizers in a press statement.

The conclave is hosting round table discussions, organize field visits and provide platforms for combined cultural shows. The discussion sessions are to facilitate the dialogue among youth leaders on issues of their interest and concern and provide them an occasion to learn from each other’s experiences. Likewise, the field visits are aimed to offer opportunities to explore local culture and develop a nuanced perspective of heritages and history.

As many as 80 youths from both Nepal and Bangladesh will be participating the conference.
