Kathmandu, November 15, 2016: Team Nepal created history in AFC Solidarity Cup beating Macau by 1- 0 in grand finale of the competition held in Malaysia.
The Nepali side took a lead at the 29’ minute of the game through a Sujal Shrestha header set up by Bharat Khawas. The lead was successfully maintained till the end.
In an otherwise ordinary game, the Nepali side took the advantage of the pitch and played their natural game which gave them proper control over the opponents. In the first half, the Nepali side created a lot of chances but failed to materialize in many of them until Sujal Shrestha produced the match-winning goal through header off Bharat Khawas cross.
