After a brilliant victory against mighty New Zealand, Nepali youth team will be looking forward to qualify for the quarter final of the world cup when they take on Ireland in their second group match. A win against Ireland will ensure a place for Nepal U19 in quarter final of the world cup 2016.
Nepal are currently in second of Group D behind leaders India with both having 2 points each after their respective win. But the later stood first with better run rate. Ireland and New Zealand are without single points from one match and stay fourth and third respectively.

Prior to this tournament the youth
side of Nepal and Ireland have faced each other five times â€“ Nepal winning amazinngly four of those meeting. In the 2004 U-19 World Cup Nepal defeated Ireland by 60 runs. Ireland U19 was lead by current England ODI Captain
Eion Morgan. Morgan scored 86 runs in that match. The other two matches have been fairly even; Nepal winning one by 14 runs(ICC U-19 World Cup Qualifier, 2011) and Ireland winning the other by 14 runs(ICC U-19 World Cup 2012). And other wins came just couple of months before when Nepal U19 beat Ireland U19 in ACC U19 Championship in group stage and in the final match.
