Nepal are ready to Play Final Match after a gap of Seventeen Year.
Nepal are all set to take Bahrain u-23 in the final match of Bangabandu Gold Cup in Bangladesh.This will be the first time after a gap of Seventeen Year that Nepali Senior football side will play Final match of any International football tournament. The match will kick off from 4:45 NST and will be officially Broadcasted on Bangladesh’s Channel Bv9.
Nawayug Shrestha’s Hattrick on the semifinal match against Maldives helped Nepal secure their place for the final of Bangabandu Cup. Nepal entered the tournament as an underdog who had just experienced a bizarre SAFF tournament. With number of players Under the age of 23, Nepal defeated Srilanka and settled draw with Malaysia and Bangladesh and reached to the semi final as a runner despite sharing equal points with Bangladesh.
Bahrain U-23 had carries a same story as of Nepal as they both remained runner up of their respective group and made their road to the final. Bahrain U-23 faced host Bangladesh on the semi final but 1 goal lead was sufficient for Bahrain to make their spot for the final.
