Birtamode (Jhapa), September 21, 2017: Nepalese Circle, a popular Facebook Group in the eastern region of Nepal, has celebrated its first establishment anniversary sharing love and care with senior citizens at a local elderly home in Birtamode.

The group was initiated by few college-going youths from Jhapa. Started over a tea-guff, the group started to actively involve itself in social work. Over time, numerous youths joined hands for helping the people in needs.

“With a lot of struggles and hard work, we have stood as one of the active group in our place. The journey to this position was arduous,” shared Pradip Adhikari, President of the group. Discussing the major issues arising in the region, and seeking advice from seniors, the group conducted various awareness campaigns its first year of establishment.

“We conducted cyber-awareness programs at many educational institutions for providing awareness on the leak of personal information and measures to be taken to control. We also conducted sanitation and cleanliness campaign. Blood donation is also one of the necessity today. Considering this, we organized blood donation campaign several times. We also donated warm clothes to the children of various schools who couldn’t afford it,” Adhikari added.

Collaborating with other groups, Nepalese Circle has also helped the earthquake victims, fire victims and flood victims all over Nepal.
