KATHMANDU, Oct 18: Six Nepali cricketers have been called up for a preliminary trial at Sydney Thunders, a Big Bash team of Australia. The Nepali players earned the opportunity through the initiative of Sydney-based Nepalese Cricket Association, Australia (NCAA).
Nepali players Rochak Bhatta, Nabin Gurung, Ashish Shrestha, Dipendra Neupane, Arjen Aryal and Ganesh Bikram DC have been called up for trial at Sydney Thunders, according to Niraj Shrestha, member of NCAA and former president of Chitwan District Cricket Association. “Nepali players living in Australia are catching the eyes of Australian teams with one after another success of Nepali cricket teams,†he said.
