Kathmandu,12 March 2015: The Embassy of Nepal in Islamabad organized a cultural programme in the Pakistani capital on Wednesday with the objective of promoting Nepali art, culture and tourism.
Popular Nepali folk-cultural band, Sukarma was the highlight of the event. A similar event was also organized by the Embassy in Lahore city today, according to the Embassy. Artists Dr Dhurvesh Chandra Regmi, Pandit Homnath Upadhyaya, Bharati Nepali also entertained the crowd with various presentations.
Former ministers and secretaries of Pakistani government, the Chairperson of the Senate Foreign Affairs Committee, diplomats, officials of UN and other INGOs, high ranking government officials of Pakistan, media persons among others graced the event.
Addressing the participants of the event, Nepali Ambassador to Pakistan Bharat Prasad Poudel expressed the confidence that such events would help further consolidate bilateral relations between the two countries.
