Kathmandu, 31October,2014: The largest singing reality show of Nepal, Coca-Cola Nepali Tara 3 , just concluded with its second round, also called the Piano Round, which was held on October 29. There were 234 contestants participating in the second round, of which only 40 were chosen to vie for the coveted title.

The show, judged by music director Prakash Gurung, composer and musician Suresh Adhikari and singer Ram Krishna Dhakal, has seen people from various walks of life competing for the title. And the second round was no exception.

Laxman Chapagain, a 14-year-old boy from Chitwan, was one such aspiring singer who made the cut into the third round. Similarly, Prabhu Bikram Thapa, an educational activist, who runs a school for the poor, and Tashi Funjo Gurung, a monk from the Karma Samten Monastery, also displayed their singing talent.

Also among the aspirants were three young girls from Maiti Nepal—Puja Pariyar, Raj Kumari Thapa and Devi Rokka.

“From the audition round till now, it has been very difficult for us to make the decision as the contestants are really good. Nevertheless, we are expecting much more from these participants. The Piano Round was quite tough for the contestants. But they rose up to our expectation, and we hope they show the same conviction and dedication throughout the competition,” said Judge Ram Krishna Dhakal.
