Kathmandu, Nov 7,2014: A 27-member Nepali national women’s football team left here Friday for Pakistan to take part in the 3rd SAF Football championship.
The team led by captain Anu Lama includes Anjali Rai, Dipa Adhikari, Anjali Waiba, Dipa Rai, Anita Basnet, Menuka Giri, Manamaya Limbu, Amrita Jaisi among others.
Kumar Katwal is the chief coach while Bhagwati Ranamagar and Darshan Bhakta Raj Lawoti are the assistant coaches of the team.
The tournament kicks off on November 11.
Earlier at a farewell programme organized by All Nepal Football Association, Minister for Youth and Sports announced a cash prize of Rs. 100,000 each to every member of the team, if it returns home with the championship trophy.
