Kathmandu, 2 July, 2015 :  Constituent Assembly (CA) chair Subas Nembang has assured that the constitution would be issued from the CA as the tabling of the preliminary draft of a new constitution has been done.
In the inaguration of 23rd Annual General Assembly (AGM) Nepal Foreign Employment Agencies Association today, in the capital CA chair Nembang said that the Nepali people will soon get the new constitution as a common draft for the same has been tabled in the CA for discussions.
The draft is just a preliminary draft as it needs serious discussions therefore; disappointed parties should not be worried right now, he added.
CA chair Nembang expressed his initiations for removing the obstacles seen in the foreign employment sector remembering its support to national economy even in conflict era.
Chairman at the Finance Committee under the Legislature-Parliament Prakash Jwala, on the occasion said that the recent decision of the government for arranging the provision of free of cost abroad employment to the workers was good but it needs more discussions with stakeholders.
Lawmaker Ram Hari Khatiwada said, the table of the preliminary draft of the new constitution in CA has ensured the way for promulgating the new constitution.
He also said that the latest consensus on the draft even has saved the lawmakers from being failure.
Lawmaker Mahendra Sherchan told that although the foreign employment profession contributed a lot to the economy of the country, it was not abiding by the rules and regulations.
Chairperson of the Association, Hansaraj Wagle, differing with the government’s decision to send labor workers with free visa and air ticket to six Gulf countries and Malaysia, blamed that although it was good for the aspiring laborers, the government did not seek deliberations with the entrepreneurs involved in this profession.
Prem Katuwal, former Chairperson of the Association, Dinesh Shrestha, Vice-President of the Federation of Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), DB Karki, Vice-President of the Non-Resident Nepali (NRN) Association, Chandra Dhakal, Chairperson of IME were also present in the programme.
Bimal Prasad Dhakal, Saroj Kumar Pokharel and Kiran Kishor Ghimire are vying for presidency in today’s election of the Association.
