Biratnagar, March 2: Minister for Information and Communications, Dr Minendra Rijal, has said that the new constitution would be promulgated within May if consensus was forged among political parties.
Talking briefly to media persons at Biratnagar Airport today, Minister Rijal said the new constitution would be promulgated within three months if political parties reached a consensus.
He also expressed the belief that opposition parties would come for talks soon.
Stating that the ruling parties have forwarded the constitution writing process based on past agreements, the Communications Minister said the UCPN (Maoist) was brought to the peace process by forcing them to quit the violent politics.
Minister Rijal said it was responsibility of all to take the country towards the prosperity.
He also clarified that the new constitution would be promulgated as per the people’s mandate.
