Kathmandu, Sept. 16:The great Hindu festival,Vijaya Dashami is on the way so for that Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) is to distribute new currency notes from tomorrow.The bank said,” Notes worth Rs. 40 billion to Rs. 45 billion will be distributed until Fulpati day from seven district offices of the bank and in NRB Management Department at Thapathali.
As there is a Hindu belief that through the use of clean notes for worship and monetary offerings, one can attain his/her wishes,so the central bank is distributing new notes worth billions of rupees during the festival each year and One can exchange old notes for new notes at these offices. NRB Spokesman, Manmohan Kumar Shrestha informed that one can take new notes of Rs 5,10, 20,and 100 denominations. and he added that one can take two packets each of Rs. 5, 10 and 20 and one packet of Rs. 50 and Rs. 100 totaling Rs. 22,000.
Thus, from tomorrow Rs. 20- Rs. 25 billion worth new notes and equivalent clean notes will be sent to market as said by NRB however Banks and financial institutions and government offices will, get it after a few days.Nepalese peoples greatest festival Daishain is on knocking the door so with the happiness of the festival there has occur the rapid increase in the demand for the new notes so taking it into consideration NRB has decided to effectively distribute the new notes in the market tomorrow.
