11th Lekhnath Festival Begins

Pokhara, Dec 4,2014: The 11th Lekhnath Festival has begun at Bhandardhik of Lekhnath Municipality in Kaski district on Thursday.

The festival is jointly organised by the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) and Lekhnath Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI).

A total of 300 stalls of different goods including food items, auto, handicraft, garments and corporate have been kept at the festival.

Extending and promoting agro products, handicraft goods, daily essentials and industrial goods, produced at local and national levels as well as in neighbouring countries are the main attraction in the festival.

Inaugurating the festival, Governor of the Nepal Rastra Bank, Dr Yubraj Khatiwada, stressed that the country should be made prosperous by making economic revolution as the political revolution has now been ended in the country.

Khatiwada pointed out the need of a huge investment to increase agro production.

Similarly, lawmaker Rabindra Adhikari stressed on the need of development of Pokhara and Lekhnath area in an integrated manner.

On the occasion, different persons including lawmakers Yagya Bahadur Thapa, Sita Giri and Jiban Pariyar and FNCCI Vice President Kishor Pradhan also expressed their views.
